From the abundance of public sculptures to the painters working near Los Arcos Amphitheater and the Cuale River, it doesn’t take long in town to realize that Puerto Vallarta and art go hand-in-hand. In fact, PV is widely regarded as the second most important artistic center in Mexico, behind only Mexico City. Accordingly, there are a large number of art galleries in Vallarta. They offer pieces both traditional and modern, in a variety of media such as sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and textiles. These galleries showcase the work of both emerging artists and established masters from Puerto Vallarta and around the world.
