Dr. Octavio González was born in Puerto Vallarta and decided to follow in his family’s trade of dentistry. He began by studying at the University of Guadalajara, after which he attained a post-graduate certificate in Occlusion and Oral Rehabilitation from CIERO in Mexico City. He has also received three post-graduate diplomas in Implantology (Surgical, Prosthetic, and Advanced) from the Melz Institute of Cuernavaca, as well as a Master’s Degree in Science from Centro Universitario de Los Altos.
Fluent in English and French, and with 90% of his patients being foreigners, Dr. González understands the health care tourism trend well and goes out of his way to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. On your first visit to his office Dental Avant Garde, Dr. González will pick you up and bring you there, free of charge. He can also reserve a hotel room at a competitive rate for you before your arrival to PV. As he says, “You can go from the pool to the dentist’s chair to the spa to the beach and back to the chair, and leave with a nice smile.”
One thing that really sets Dr. González’s office apart is the fact that it contains its own lab with technology found nowhere else in the state of Jalisco. Using sophisticated scanners, articulators, and simulators, Dr. González and his team make impressions and use these to diagnose the underlying cause of your dental problems, as well as to propose a course of treatment. Consultations are free, and patients will be notified of fees for any studies or tests that are needed.
