On June 28th at 7:30 P.M., Los Mangos Library is presenting an art installation called Mi Casa en Mí (“My House in Me”). This multidisciplinary, multi-sensory installation includes “sculptures, paintings, surfaces, sounds, and aromas” in an attempt to “communicate the experiences, feelings, and realities of the current process of globalization and social practices, including migration.” All of the participating artists are Mexicans for whom migration has played an important role in their lives. From October 21st through the 24th, Banderas Bay will be hosting Hook the Cure, an annual fishing fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Three famous Major League Baseball players – Roger Clemens, Jim Lonborg, and Matt Young – will be participating in the event.
