Written by Luis Domínguez

Guadalajara 2011 already has its own song performed by Alejandro Fernández, an iconic figure of the city. “El Mismo Sol” (The Same Sun) has just been released and it can be heard on radio around the continent, informed Universal Music Latin.

The song was written by the Peruvian composer Gianmarco Zignago, produced by the renowned Chilean producer Humberto Gatica, and recorded at the Lion Share Studio in Los Angeles by the famous Mexican singer, a process that perfectly symbolizes the Pan American spirit.

“El Mismo Sol” will be performed live for the first time on October 14th, at the opening ceremony of the XVI Pan American Games.

Let us know what do you think of the Pan American anthem, do you like it? Not really? Why so?

could use a little more percussion such as tympani and timbales. Lacks a little punch, but a beautiful piece.
