At the top of the list is the glamorous capital of France, the romantic Paris, followed by Barcelona, London, San Francisco and New York City. Not bad company at all for our beloved PVR (Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit).
Our town cracked the list at #20 and this is why US News thinks people should visit it:
“Puerto Vallarta stands out for its outstanding cuisine, eclectic bars and clubs and breathtaking landscape. You could spend just a day exploring the cobblestone streets and art-laden Malecón (or boardwalk) of Zona Centro, or extend your trip for a few more days to try out the nightclubs and European cafés of the downtown area, as well as the hiking in the nearby Sierra Madre Mountains.”
PVR is followed by St.Martin (it’s supposed to be a Dutch-French island in the Caribbean), Aruba, Las Vegas (impressive to beat the sin city), Los Angeles and Austin, completing the best 25 places to visit in the world according to this website.
There are no signs of Cancun, Cabo, Acapulco or even Mexico City, cities that get the big bucks from the Mexico Board of Tourism, so this is something to be proud of!
Nevertheless, this ranking is in constant evolution, readers can vote if a city belongs on the list or not, an so far Puerto Vallarta has 300 more votes of NO, so please visit their website and vote YES to keep PVR as one of the best places to visit in the world!
