Yesterday was announced in Tepic, capital of the state of Nayarit, a new Urban Mobility Plan for the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, which is expected to address the transportation and connectivity issues along the bay.

The occasion was an important meeting with Roberto Sandoval, governor of Nayarit and other mayors of the state, who also introduced their own development programs, according to Observatoriobahía.

The plan contemplates three main proposals that include vehicle overpasses in Mezcales and Bucerias, as well as the construction of Avenida Federaciones, a project that will become the second door to, and from Puerto Vallarta.

The main goal of the new plan is to create the roads infrastructure needed to optimize the connectivity of the whole Banderas Bay, in order to respond adequately to the great tourism potential of the region.

The plan also contemplates a renewal of the urban image of the highway 200, which will undergo a profound facelift to better reflect the image of a world-class tourism destination.
