On January 20, 2012 PEACE Mexico will be hosting its 3rd Annual Art Gala, ArteVida at the renowned Casa China Blanca in El Farallon – Los Veneros, Nayarit.

This annual fundraising event will feature Mexican and American artists of great distinction whose works will be sold in either a silent or live auction. The event will include a live art installation, live performances and opportunities to purchase beautiful pieces of local and international art.

This year, at ArteVida, they want to share art in all its forms - paintings, sculpture, street art, muralism, mosaic work, children’s art, recycled art, music and dance. This year they are adding a new element to their event as there are several live performances scheduled.

One of the performers is nationally renowned percussion professional, Ricardo Sanchez. For the past 7 years, Ricardo served as the Musical Director of Vallarta Adventures Rhythms of the Night show in Las Caletas Beach. Other participating artists include Alejandro Mondria, Chisko, Antonio Collantez, Eveline Boren and more.

There will be Cocktails & Appetizers served all night, the silent auction begins at 6:00pm, the live auction begins at 7:30pm, while the live art installation & performances will be running throughout the evening. The event will be catered by Benitto's Paninoteca and sponsored by Quality Peoples and Punta Mita.

PEACE originated in Isla Mujeres with one simple concept – to sell art for philanthropic purposes. Molly Fisher and friend Rebecca Peragine, had a small book shop on the island with artwork available for purchase. All sales benefited local charities. As this business proved successful and began to trigger real change in the community, Molly dreamed of something bigger. The vision of PEACE was born. . .

PEACE is a non-profit organization made up of four main programs, which focus on education, entrepreneurship, animal well-being, and community engagement in the Southern region of Nayarit, Mexico. PEACE works hand in hand with communities in Mexico to provide holistic education combined with community action programs that enable people to improve their quality of life as well as their financial stability.

PEACE is one of the very best organized, most efficient organizations I have ever been privileged to observe. These ladies work so very hard, and get so much done, and make such a positive impact in places in our area that are often difficult to reach, I am proud to have them in our community. We are so very lucky!
