The Market was organized by a group of locals called Cooperativa Huanacaxtle (join their Facebook group here), and offers a Sunday alternative to the Old Town Market in Puerto Vallarta on Saturdays.

Those who visit La Cruz will find extraordinary edibles and organics, alongside handmade arts and crafts, clothes and housewares. Vendors offer everything from Bonsai trees to tin sculptures, Oaxaca rugs to Huichol art, diffused glass or sterling silver jewelry to sandals and woven leather goods.

Foodies can spend hours perusing local organics to take home, and nibbling on homemade panela cheese, empanadas, and candies. There's a children's play area and live jazz musicians bring life to the plaza.
Though only a few weeks old, the La Cruz Market has already earned an enthusiastic group of regulars. Don't miss out: visit the La Cruz Market some Sunday soon.
