Intense Activity for Riviera Nayarit in 2012

The highlights of the 2012 calendar are with no doubt the Tianguis Turístico (which co-hosts together with Puerto Vallarta)  and the Regata Copa México, but there are as many as 29 confirmed events along an intense year of activities.

According with the Riviera Nayarit official website, in 2011 Riviera Nayarit received important awards, which placed it as one of the not-to-be-missed destinations for Meeting Planners according to MDC, and TripAdvisor’s users nominated “Mexico’s Pacific Treasure” as one of the best 10 destinations for family travel in Mexico. Among many other awards, our destination was chosen as one of the top ten most romantic destinations in the world according to Reuters Life!

“We had an intense 2011, and many of the events that took place this year will return in 2012. This is something that speaks well of our destination – and we also have new events. The Tianguis Turistico will position us within the touristic industry, and other events like the Punta Mita Golf & Gourmet Classic or the Punta Sayulita Longboard & SUP Classic are helping us attract the attention of specific sectors like golfers, foodies and surfers”, explained Fernando González Ortega, president of the CVB of Riviera Nayarit.
