pv pulse had the opportunity to talk with Eduardo Espinosa, Director of Sports of the American School, and he explained to us that the race is the second event organized by his Department, specifically to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the school. A mini-basketball tournament was the first event, and after the race there will come a golf tournament on March 17th, a tennis tournament at Canto del Sol Hotel, and a dinner gala.
The race will start at 8:00 am on Sunday December 11th, at the door of ASPV. There will be six different categories, from the little ones to the Masters. There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place of every category, plus a surprise prize for the children categories and a cash prize for adults.
The race will go through the streets of the Marina Vallarta and return to the facilities of the American School, where the medals ceremonies will take place.
The idea of organizing a race came from the fact that jogging is a popular practice among parents of ASPV, as many of them have run the NY marathon, or the half-marathon of Puerto Vallarta. Actually, different athletic clubs of Tepic and Guadalajara have confirmed their participation in the race.
The sponsors of the race will be present at the ASPV campus, where they will be offering their products and services, being part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the American School of Puerto Vallarta.
