Inspired in the American Black Friday, El Buen Fin has been marketed as "the cheapest weekend of the year" and it has been created as a way to boost the national economy via consumption.
El Buen Fin (The Good Weekend) starts today in all Mexico, with 80% of the national sales floor participating in this long weekend of sales, that will end next Monday.
Retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, and all kind of businesses will be offering discounts ranging from 20% and up to 60%, as well as credit with an interest rate of 0%.
It is expected that El Buen Fin will generate an increase between 10% and 15% in November sales.
El Buen Fin is an interesting idea that if works as expected, will become a yearly event. So, it is a good opportunity to do your Christmas shopping and save some money.
