Every high season since 1998, art galleries in Puerto Vallarta have come together to host the Art Walk, a free weekly event in which you can meet gallery owners, artists, and others who appreciate art, all while enjoying complimentary wine, cocktails, and appetizers.

The 2009-2010 season is the 13th year in a row for the Art Walks, and they take place every Wednesday evening, 6 – 10 P.M., from October 28 through May 26. The walks are unguided, so you can visit as many or as few galleries as you like, at your own pace, in any order. And since all the participating galleries are conveniently located downtown north of the Cuale River, walking between them is a breeze.

This year, there are sixteen galleries taking part in the festivities:

Art Gallery Millan

Corsica I
Corsica II
Emociones Art Gallery
Galería 8 y Mas
Galería AL Arte Latinoamericano
Galería Corona
Galería de Ollas
Galería Omar Alonso
Galería Pacífico
Galería Vallarta
Galería Whitlow
Galería Uno
Galerie des Artistes
Sergio Bustamante
The Loft

There’s no better way to get a feel for PV’s art scene. And who knows? Maybe you’ll find the piece of your dreams or make some new friends.
