Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Patti moved to Puerto Vallarta in 1980, establishing a small art studio and gallery on the Rio Cuale Island, which is now a thriving artist community. During her early years in the bay, Patti was primarily known for her line of hand painted clothing, colorful pieces depicting whimsical women, animals and still life.
Through the years, demand for Patti’s creativity has evolved into paintings, sculptures, wall hangings, custom designed furniture and rugs. As an Artist and Painter, Patti’s unique style cannot be defined. Her work with abstracts, still life, metal and bronze sculptures is forever shifting and evolving.

Patti has successfully carved a niche for herself in the design world with her custom designed furniture, artwork and rugs, “my goal is for every client to receive a unique and one-of-a-kind finished product, whether it be a piece of art or an entire home”.
As an Interior Designer, Patti has bridged the gap between creativity and functionality by marrying her artistic vision with home essentials. “I try to create for my clients, instead of buying”, which in itself makes each finished project feel like a personalized work of art.
As an Interior Designer, Patti specializes in custom designed furniture packages. Each furniture package is custom tailored to each client’s independent needs and personal style. The extent of each package, whether basic furnishings or complete ‘turn key’ packages, including window treatments, accessories, artwork, linens, kitchen accessories, etc., is carefully defined and selected to satisfy the client’s requirements.
Patti’s interior design projects range from private homes and condominiums to luxury developments and hotels around the Bahia de Banderas and Riviera Nayarit, including Puerto Vallarta, Bucerias, Punta de Mita, Sayulita and San Pancho.
Patti’s roll as an Architectural Designer involves a hands-on working relationship with architects and engineers from the early stages of drafting plans to the final stages of construction. This approach ensures that both the client’s vision and practical needs are at the forefront of the design and construction process.
Whether as the Lead Designer and Project Manager for a new project or as an Architectural Design Consultant for renovations, Patti and her team of professionals provide invaluable, functional and cost-effective design, construction alternatives and methods to enhance each project.
Patti’s architectural design projects include villas, condos, private homes, luxury developments, galleries, health retreats, commercial buildings and hotels, including the re-design of Richard Burton’s last home in Puerto Vallarta, Hacienda San Angel (member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World).
Patti continues to expand and explore her passion by working with local artists and teachers. Today, Patti’s art can be found at Patti Gallardo Eclectic Art Gallery, in the heart of Old Town Puerto Vallarta.
