Founded in 1980 in the U.S., the Make-a-Wish Foundation is the largest non-profit wish-granting organization in the world and serves more than 30 countries, including Mexico. Make-A-Wish Mexico, whose offices are in Puerto Vallarta, began operations in 2002 by delivering a bicycle to a child in from Jalisco.
More recently, the Foundation arranged a full day’s meeting, including a kick-about, between Mexico teen Everardo Soto with his hero, soccer player Cuauhtemoc Blanco. Check out the story from ESPN.
