Designed for the adventurous visitor, Dolphin Extreme Swim allows guests to suit up in a snorkel, mask and fins and get into the pool with two dolphins to free swim, ride, and play.
Wayne Phillips, General Manager of Dolphin Adventures, explained the drive behind the program in a recent press release. “ [W]e wanted to enable our more adventurous guests with the opportunity to interact with the animals in their environment so we created an encounter that is unmatched in Mexico as far as unique, above- and under-water interactions with multiple marine mammals.”

Dolphin Extreme Swim is a 60-minute interactive encounter that takes place in Vallarta Adventures’ pool. Guests will receive two free-swim snorkelling sessions, an underwater tow ride, a power-snorkel session with motorized water scooters, and a Boogie board push. As well, they will see acrobatic performances by dolphins, and get to interact with a sea lion.
PV Pulse was on hand for a sneak peek at the new program. “The motorized water scooters make it possible to move at a speed close to the dolphin's so you can ‘feel as part of the pack’,” a PV Pulse staffer reported. “[H]aving a mask allows you to see how fast they are underwater and how gentle and affectionate they can be. The sea lion is was very friendly and it was really cool to feel its soft hairy skin.”

Like all Dolphin Adventures, Dolphin Extreme Swim is safe and interactive, and is designed to educate guests on marine mammals and encourage protection of the animals and their environments. The Dolphin Extreme Swim introductory price is $169, and guests can book online at www.vallartaadventures.com.
